Every player signs up as an individual into an open draft where everyone is welcome. Our committee creates balanced teams so everyone gets great ice time, regardless of experience level.

Tournament Entry Fees
$290 AUD
Paid in full up front at registration. Covers complete tournament access, match fees, official uniform, and social events.

Financial hardship should never be a barrier to queer joy and inclusive sport. We offer confidential subsidised registration places with zero judgment. You do not need to share specific details of your situation at all — simply select what support you need, and our committee will assist.
What Your Registration Includes
Queerclash is run by community hockey players. Your registration fee goes directly towards ice time, referees, jerseys, socks, paramedic coverage, and food for the weekend.
Custom Match Jersey
High-quality match jersey featuring artwork by First Nations artists, customised with your name and player number on the back.
Matching Socks & Welcome Pack
Matching team hockey socks, plus an official player pack with tournament badge, lanyard, and stickers.
Welcome Night & Community Lunch
Social events across the weekend, including opening night welcome drinks and a free catered tournament lunch on Saturday.
Tournament Photography
High-res action shots and squad photos taken across the weekend, free for all players to download.
Ice Time & Referees
All game ice time across four days, qualified referees, scorekeepers, and on-site first aid support.
Music & Live Stream
Rink music, ceremonies, and a live broadcast stream so friends and family can watch from home.
How the Draft Works
Submit your player profile and skill assessment on Team Machine. All players of any background or experience level are accepted — no pre-formed teams required.
The draft committee balances all 10 teams so every squad has a fair, competitive mix of skills and experience.
Players attend the draft event in person at the opening night welcome party at IceHQ, where teams and custom jerseys are announced.
Sensory & Access Accommodations
IceHQ provides step-free rink access and gender-neutral changeroom options. In addition, our tournament operations team provides free sensory kits (ear protection and fidget tools), designated low-sensory chill-out areas, and colour-coded communication badges at the welcome desk.
